Irish fight on into 3rd round

AUGUSTA, Ga.---The fighting Irish of Aquinas improved on their best record in school history with a 2 game sweep of Providence Christian today. John Douglas earned the win in game one as Aquinas prevailed in a wild one 8-7. In game 2, Mike Cardwell was the winning pitcher in a 4-3 victory. The Irish begin play in the 3rd round at home next Tuesday against Calvary Day.
