The official announcement has been made that very popular USC Aiken extra innings bull riding at the Civic Center and the summer bull riding at the Hippodrome will now be PBR-sanctioned events benefiting the USC Aiken baseball team.

That means some of the top talent in the world will be riding bulls in our backyard, with the points gained in those two events going toward the PBR's championship title.

Not just better riders but better bulls as well, and it starts this July.

Saw the PBR at USC Aiken a few weeks ago. It was great! Met some of the riders. Really was impressed after meeting cowboys like Jody Newberry and Ryan Radford. You bet I'll be at the next event! Bull riding rocks!

Hope some of the riders that competed in the Augusta Civic Center and Hippodrome events last year will also be at the events this year. There are some great cowboys in that organization too. The bull riding finals in Florence was awesome!!

The PBR is the most exciting sport. I am a big fan of Adriano Moraes. The greatest bull rider ever. This is great they are doing this for Lee Aiken and his family. He should be recognized. This the toughest sport on dirt and all the bull riders are such humble men in such a dangerous sport.
