The North Augusta Yellowjackets baseball team had their backs to the wall and came through Wednesday night against Fort Mill.

After ace Marty Gantt struck out 14 in the first game of a playoff doubleheader and still lost 1 to nothing, North Augusta fought back. In game 2, the Jackets' bats woke up and Gantt had the game-winning hit as North Augusta won 4 to 3 and advances to the quarterfinals.

The softball team had to win 2 on the road at Gaffney or face elimination. The Lady Jackets came through, winning game 1, 4-1 and game 2, 2-1 to also advance to the quarterfinals.
