Palmetto State angler leads after Day 1

CLARKS HILL, Ga.---Douglas, South Carolina native Casey Ashley hauled in 22 pounds and 6 ounces worth of bass to lead the field after day one of the Pride of Georgia on Lake Thurmond. The rookie caught the 5 fish limit and leads 2nd place Pete Ponds by more than a pound.

Aiken's Jason Williamson is in 46th place after a 1st day total of 10 pounds, 6 ounces.
