Yesterday, the South Carolina Gamecocks' big-play wide receiver, Sydney Rice, announced he was leaving early for the NFL.
Not to be outdone, today, Georgia Tech's top pass-catcher, and probably the best wide receiver in the country, decided he wanted to make a little money as well.
Tech junior Calvin Johnson is giving up his final season of college eligibility to become one of the first players selected in April's draft.
Johnson was picked for the All-American team and the Biletnikoff Award as the top wideout in the nation, finishing the season with 76 catches for 1200 yards and 15 touchdowns...
That includes 9 catches, 186 yards and 2 touchdowns in Tech's loss to West Virginia in the Gator Bowl.
