AUGUSTA, GA--After 25 years at the helm, Augusta State baseball coach Skip Fite is leaving the Jags program and will be named head coach at West Georgia on Friday.

Fite racked up 624 wins during his tenure in Augusta and led the Jags to the National Tournament. He's also seen a number of his players picked by major league teams with the latest being Shannon Wilkerson just this last year.

Augusta State will promote assistant coach Chris Cooper to fill the shoes left by Fite.
