Evans and Lakeside both swept out of the playoffs

Georgia State Baseball Playoffs
Class 4-A

Game One: Marist 13 Lakeside 10 F
Game Two: Marist 9 Lakeside 5 F

Marist proved to be too tough Tuesday in beating Lakeside in two straight games. The Panthers actually took a 6-3 lead in the middle innings of the opener, but couldn't hold on and end up falling 13-10.

In the 7th, Lakeside pushed a couple of runs across and then had the tying run up with nobody out, but the next three batters went in order to end the threat and game.

The night cap was dominated by Marist who scored five times in the first. Lakeside actually tied it at 5, but again, the War Eagles proved too tough late and pull away for the win.

Game One: Loganville 7 Evans 2 F
Game Two: Loganville 11-2 F
Knights season comes to an end

In Loganville, the Knights tried to keep pace with the defending state champs, but couldn't get the job done as they too are eliminated from the state playoffs.

In the opener, it was scoreless until the middle innings when Red Devils scored three times and then went on to the victory.

The nightcap was over quickly as Loganvile scored six times in the first and never looked back.
