EVANS, GA--They have been one of the hottest teams in the state of Georgia. Now Evans is ready to take the next step and advance beyond the state quarterfinals. Just how hot are the Knights?? they've won 15 of their last 16 ballgames.

But you can wipe the slate clean as they get ready for Loganville in the next round. Even having dropped a game in the previous round, the Knights were able to quickly put that behind em and steamrolled Glynn Academy in the next two games. Keeping the focus has been key for Evans all year and have managed to find another gear here in the playoffs.

"We want to do the little things right and that's one of our big things." said senior Jeffrey Rice "We're not out here trying to hit five home runs a game and do it that way, we want to do the little things right and win ballgames by doing that."

"It's just let's go play" said Kevin Caughman "He (coach Ricky Beale) said it's not the team from last year that won it all. We're just going to have to play our game and if we play it, we're going to do well."

For the first time in the playoffs, the Knights have to hit the road and try to take two from the Red Devils who are the defending state champs.
