Meredith Legg will be in Aiken, S.C. on Thursday, May 7 for the USC Aiken graduation ceremonies.
According to her mother, Meredith is doing okay, but she has lost almost ten pounds. According to Meredith’s doctors she will take a little longer to recover due to the size of the tumor and the pain that was related to her tumor.
The all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball history at USC Aiken, Meredith should start feeling a great deal better over the course of the next three months in her efforts to get back to “normal.”
Please do not forget that through the efforts of Janet Parker, a special fundraising effort for Meredith Legg has been established.
Parker is still selling automobile decals with Meredith’s jersey number of 24.
The decals will sell for a minimum of $5 and they are available through the USC Aiken women’s basketball office, or through any USC Aiken women’s basketball coach or player.
Parker's goal is twofold - to raise money for Meredith and to visually show her all the support she has when she returns to campus and the community. All proceeds will go to help defray the expenses acquired by Meredith and her family during this fight against cancer.
There has also been a Cancer Fund set up in Meredith's honor.
