AIKEN, SC--When Jerry Snyder help start the USC Aiken softball program, he dreamed about playing in the NCAA tournament. The dream is now reality.

Snyder, who eclipsed the 500 win plateau earlier in the season snuck up on a lot of teams and were the runner up in the peach conference tournament. Coach's picked 'em to finish eighth and look where they are now.

"It's been a pretty crazy year" said Jessica Strickland "We had a lot of media coverage to start things with his 500 (wins) and everything. Now pretty much everything has worked out. It's my senior year and we've never been here before and it's pretty amazing to have it happen my senior year I guess."

Pacers are the two seed in the region and take on Carson Newman in the first game of the double elimination region.
