Though the Lexington Legends are the enemy at Lake Olmstead stadium this week, there is a crowd favorite among them. That being Phil Disher. The former South Aiken Thoroughbred and South Carolina Gamceock.

Disher is in his first season with the Legends and so far, has gotten off to a rocky start. But judging by his career at USC, he'll turn it around. With the Gamecocjks, he hit more than 40 home runs and drove in 148 runs. But nothing beats playing professional baseball right now, espeically when that means getting a chance to play right near your hometown!

"You know, it's kind of surreal", said Disher. "I came to some of these games when I was a kid and now, just to be here playing professional ball, it's just a great honor and I'm happy to come home."

Disher and the Legends have one more game in Augusta on Tuesday night. After that, the next time Disher will return to the CSRA will be June 30th.
