Springfield, MA--Augusta State saw their season end in Springfield, Massachusetts as the Jags lose to Cal Poly Pomona 74-70 Thursday night.

ASU scored the first two points of the game but saw the Broncos from the Los Angeles area score the next nine points. Cal Poly Pomona then took a 31-27 lead at the half as the Jags struggled from the outside. Fred Braithwaite and Garret Siler accounted for most of the first half points for the Jags.

In the second half, the Broncos would run out to an 11 point lead only to see ASU storm back and take the lead on a Daniel Dixon three pointer with just under three minutes to play.

Down the stretch Cal Poly Pomona made very few mistakes while ASU would continue to struggle. Siler's 17th point of the game would give the Jags a 68067 lead with 1:45 left but that would be their last lead.

Augusta State finished the game just 5 of 21 from three point range. Ben Madgen finished with 12 points, Siler had 17 in his final game as a Jag while Brathwaite had a game high 19 to pace Augusta State.

The Jags finish the year with a school record 30 wins and suffer their first loss in their last 16 ballgames.
