ORLANDO - There's a lot of pressure for a lot of golfers to make the 2009 Masters field. That includes hometown product Vaughn Taylor, who is still looking for that elusive win to get a spot in the tournament.
This weekend, Taylor is down in Orlando, playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. he's playing good rounds this year. The only problem is that he hasn't been able to put four good rounds together. In fact, twice already this year, he has seen himself near the top of the leaderboard through two rounds, just to fall by the wayside with some bad scores on the weekend. And now with just two weeks left before his hometown tournament, Taylor is feeling the pressure of putting four solid rounds of golf together.
"I haven't put it together four rounds in a row," said Taylor. "It's just been hit it good one day, putt it bad the next. It's just kind of all over the map a little bit. So, I just need some consistency really."
If Taylor can't win this week in Orlando, he'll have one last chance to qualify next week in Texas at the Shell Houston Open.
