ARC falls in state semifinals to Miller Grove

GWINNETT, GA-- In the Class 4-A state semifinals, ARC falls to top ranked Miller Grove 83-69.

The Musketeers kept it close and trailed by just one, 18-17, after the first quarter. But in the second, the Wolverines outscored the Musketeers 28-12 and took a 17 point lead to the locker room.

ARC would make it interesting in the second half and after three, they would trail 55-45 as they sliced into the lead.

In the fourth, the Musketeers would again go to work, led by Raston Brown hitting from the outside and inside, the Musketeers would cut the lead to just two points on tthree different occasions.

Ricardo Glenn would foul out midway through the quarter and Miller Grove would take over in the closing two minutes to pull away for the win. The Wolverines would make several free throws in the final two minutes for the winning margin.

ARC finishes the season 28 and 4 making their first trip in five decades to the state final four.
