AUGUSTA, GA--We've reached the second round of the state playoffs in Georgia and only four teams remain on the boys side of the ledger. Among them, ARC. The Musketeers survived a first round battle to advance.

Certainly didn't come easy as they squeaked by Alcovy Saturday evening in a low scoring affair.

But a win is a win, especially this time of year. ARC is still a dangerous team and this first round scare may have given them the wake up call needed for the rest of the tournament.

"Every team out there is going to come with it and we need to be ready to play" said ARC's Desmond Lofland "We're ranked high in the state, number three, and every team is going to want to beat us so they can have that respect that they beat us and so every game we have to come out mentally focused and prepare for war."

"Don't underestimate teams because teams we're playing now are better then we think they are because this is the state playoffs now." added Christian Nobles

For their efforts Saturday, Richmond Academy will get to host in round two as well. They'll take on Brunswick Wednesday evening.
