EDGEFIELD,SC--Strom Thurmond standout and one of the top players in the area, Tra'ves Bush will play college football at Navy after signing with the Midshipmen Wednesday.

With friends, family, R.O.T.C. members and others on hand, the Rebel leader on and off the field put pen to paper signing his letter of intent Wednesday morning. Navy was kind of a last minute deal as Bush was prepared to sign with Gardner Webb. This offer though, too good to pass up.

"I was looking at Gardner Webb and I had kind of decided on Gardner Webb and then Navy came into the picture and it changed that." said Tra'ves Bush "I like dealing with math and science and engineering is known as a good job and you can make a lot of money doing it and it's something I like to do" Bush added laughing.

Bush does have a couple of uncles who went to the Naval Academy and they helped hm make his decision. Engineering is in his future.
