AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta State’s Nicole Mealing has been dismissed from the Lady Jaguar basketball team for conduct detrimental to the team, head coach Tes Sobomehin announced Monday.

A junior forward from North Augusta, S.C., Mealing led the Lady Jaguars in scoring at 14.7 ppg., and ranked fifth in the Peach Belt Conference in scoring.

“It is disappointing to the Augusta State women’s basketball program to lose a member of the team,” Sobomehin said.

The Lady Jags host Lander in a Peach Belt Conference matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m., in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
