CSRA football players making the big decision

It's a day that is years in the making for most of these young men and today, it is here. College football signing day...a day that means so much, especially to Jefferson County's Chris Crenshaw.

"I came from really not that much and to have so much right now, it's real amazing," said Crenshaw.

Crenshaw signed with Georgia Tech and won't be alone in Atlanta. Washington County's Brandon Watts also signed to play for the Yellow Jackets.

But that's not the only CSRA connection. Greenbrier's Dylan Turner and North Augusta's Brett Johnson visited the Air Force Academy the same weekend back in January. That weekend, they were strangers. This upcoming season, they'll be teammates.

"It's a chance to play Division One football in the Mountain West Conference and have a chance to play in a BCS bowl game," said Turner. "Then, my future is set when I graduate and I'll have a good degree."

"When I went up there for the visit with my family, just the way they treated me and the way they treated my family," said Johnson, "and the relationship between the players and the coaches was so good, it just seemed like a good fit for me."

South Aiken's JerQuari Schofield is heading to good 'ol Rocky Top. Tennessee that is.

"I talked to Clemson for awhile but Tennessee is just where I feel like I should be," said Schofield. "It was just the atmosphere and the history of Rocky Top and everything."

Meanwhile at Glenn Hills, the school is celebrating not just one Spartan signee, but four today as Jerico Brown, Kevin Davenport, Collin Bing and Lonnie Moore all signed on the dotted line. And while signing day is already a big deal, signing with teammates makes it all the more special

"Oh man, it's tremendous," said Moore. "I wish it could've been 8 of us at the same school or something. I really don't want to leave them but I gotta go to the next level."

And you can bet we'll all be watching their every move.
