GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Someone who knows about winning in the Palmetto State has been picked to coach the South Carolina Force.
The startup indoor football team playing at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville picked Bubba Diggs, a former tight end who played for Clemson's 1981 national champions.
The Force are part of the American Indoor Football Association. The Greenville News reported the team's first home game is scheduled for March.
Diggs had coached the Augusta Spartans to a World Indoor Football League title in 2007.
