Fox Creek student named Wendy's Heisman winner

Fox Creek High School Senior Lindsay Templeton was recently named a 2008-2009 Wendy's Heisman winner. Templeton is a member of the Predator Softball and Volleyball teams.

Fox Creek’s Head Softball Coach, Amanda Schneider believes, “Lindsay is a true leader and she is as dedicated in the classroom as she is on the field or court.”

Lindsay maintains a GPA of 3.8 while being a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Teacher Cadet Program, Interact Club and Spanish Clubs. During softball, Lindsay was strong at bat as well as a key player on the field. Her list of accomplishments for softball include: 2008 Region 4-A Player of the Year, 2008 Class-A All-State Team, 2007 & 2008 All Region Player, 2008 South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports All-State Player, and 2008 High School Sports Report All-State Player. Her volleyball accomplishments include All Tournament Team "Spiking Out". Templeton also holds Fox Creek High School career records for most aces and most digs.

Head Volleyball Coach Bill Warnken explains, “Lindsay is a well rounded student-athlete and winning the Wendy's Heisman is a huge honor for her.”

Lindsay stated, "Winning this award is definitely a high-light of my senior year. I am very excited to represent Fox Creek as the award goes on to the state level".
