North Augusta Standout Is Air Force Bound

North Augusta, SC--North Augusta All-State linebacker Brett Johnson committed to Air Force on late Monday night.

The 6-foot-1, 208-pound Johnson picked Air Force over Wofford and Buffalo. He was also hearing from Colorado, New Mexico State, Duke and North Carolina.

Johnson, who has a 4.019 GPA and was North Augusta's Defensive MVP for three years in a row, made an official visit to Air Force this past weekend.

"The visit just confirmed everything I felt about Air Force," Johnson said. "It's a great school with great academics. I like the coaches, and they feel like I an play early there."

Johnson was selected to play in South Carolina's "North-South" all-star game last month.
