Evans, GA -- The second half of the high school basketball season starts tomorrow and plenty of eyes will be on the Augusta metro region as the chase for the playoffs is now in full swing. No question one of the elite teams is Evans.

The Knights have rolled to a 14 and 1 record and are riding a nine game win streak. That includes an emotional win over Richmond Academy Tuesday. Nine seniors on the roster as this may be one of the deepest teams head coach Kevin Kenny has had. Confidence is high and the pieces are in place for a deep run into march.

"It's all across the board, I mean, we're deep, two deep at every position," said coach Kevin Kenny. "I mean, point guard, shooting guard, small forward, everything so we're very, very deep. I think it's a good balance between we have some good defensive players and offensive players that can score so we're very well balanced."

"We stay with the same attitude, even after we lost to Glenn Hills, we didn't get down we stayed with the same attitude in practice." added senior Brandon McCladdie.

Nothing will come easy for the Knights down the stretch as the bulls eye has shifted to their back as teams take dead aim at them. Evans takes on rival Lakeside tomorrow night then host Harlem on Saturday.
