DULUTH, GA - Gwinnett scored three power play goals as they downed the Lynx 6-2 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center on Thanksgiving Night. Scott Thauwald and Brian Ihnacak scored for the Lynx.

Jordan Fox put Gwinnett up a little over three minutes in with a shot from the right wing wall, giving the Gladiators a 1-0 lead. The Gladiators increased their lead to 4-1 when Dirk Southern fired a shot from the high slot beating Helenius. On the ensuing face-off, Dan Sullivan took advantage of a breakaway to make it 5-1 Gwinnett. The goals came just 11 seconds apart. Brian Ihnacak answered a little over a minute later when he beat Josh Johnson for his first pro goal in North America. Scott Thauwald would get a penalty shot with a couple of minutes left in the period but was denied by Johnson and Gwinnett led 5-2 after two periods.

Brad Schell blasted a one timer from the right wing side to finish off the scoring and Gwinnett went on for the 6-2 victory. The Lynx were out shot 42-22. Augusta went 0 for 8 on the power play while Gwinnett finished 3 for 8. BJ Crum got the best of Matt Siddall in a third period fight.
