Aiken, SC--While the USC Aiken men's basketball team has received plenty of notoriety leading up to the season, no reason to think the Lady Pacers won't be in the mix at the end of the year as well.

Today, the USC Aiken women were picked to win the Peach Belt Conference and are ranked 19th in the country. They actually start the year this weekend in Orlando. Top scorer Meredith Legg returns along with a few others starters as the expectations of going deep into the season are there.

"When I recruited this freshmen class that is now four or five people, with the expectations that we're going to host the tournament last year and this year. I had high expectations then and I think they're even higher now. I think we've had good seasons the last two, getting 20 wins, am very confident we can get there again this year if we play well." said coach Mike Brandt

Lady Pacers have also beefed up their schedule. Many say that prevented them from making the tournament in the last couple of years. First home game, November 16th.
