Saturday, October 18, 2008. (AP) -- Josh Nesbitt ran for one touchdown and threw for another as Georgia Tech ruined the emotional debut of Clemson coach Dabo Swinney.
Swinney was named on Monday after longtime leader Tommy Bowden stepped down. And while there was plenty of emotion from Tiger fans, Georgia Tech made the plays when it counted most.
The biggest was Nesbitt's 24-yard touchdown throw to Demaryius Thomas with 5:22 left as the Yellow Jackets retook the lead, 21-17.
Clemson had been down 14-3, but rallied in the second half on two touchdown passes from Cullen Harper to Aaron Kelly.
