Augusta, Ga--He's only been on the job for a few days and new Augusta State women's golf coach Kevin Mcpherson is still trying to get acclamaded. It's not slowing him down that's for sure.

Mcpherson is still getting himself situated at the Augusta State golf house, and isn't even close to having his office the way he wants. It's all good though as he's looking forward to the challenges ahead. Taking over a program just a couple of months before the season is a dauing task for anyone and getting a team in place and schedule set is the top priority.

"Recruiting is huge right now" said golf coach Kevin McPherson "We have a very small team right now and I'm looking to possibly bring in one or two players possibly in this semester coming up or the spring semester coming in but right now the recruiting is the biggest part."

Mcpherson does catch a break, four of five starters returning for the Lady Jags. Not just that, the team narrowly missed out on a trip to the NCAA regional, so the transition period should be relatively smooth.
