GRAPEVINE, Texas (AP) -- NFL owners have accepted the players' association's proposal Wednesday, extending the collective bargaining agreement for six years.

There were no further details on the agreement, including whether it includes expanding revenue sharing. The deal had been expected to add about $10 million to the 2006 salary cap, bringing it to around $104 million.

The contract was approved by 30 of 32 teams, with Buffalo and Cincinnati voting against it. The deal needed approval of 24 teams.

The agreement means the free agent signing period will begin at 12:01 am Eastern Friday.
