COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Glen Davis scored 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds to lift Number 21 LSU to a 64-61 victory over South Carolina Tuesday night.
That gives the Tigers, now 21-and-7 and 13-and-2, at least a share of the Southeastern Conference title, its first in six years.
The Gamecocks, now 14-and-14 and 5-and-10, have now lost four straight. Tarence Kinsey led South Carolina with 21 points.
Tasmin Martin's free throw with 26 seconds to go to put LSU up 62-59.
South Carolina then tried and failed to find Kinsey for an open three, and Rocky Trice missed from beyond the arc. Brandon Wallace managed to tip the ball in, but Davis' two free throws sealed the win.
