(Augusta,Ga--)Thirsty Thursday at the Lake tonight and the Greenjackets have been picking up wins about as quick as people have been pounding down the good stuff. Eight of their last nine with pitching being the story. Tomorrow night, folks get to see one of the best.
19 year old Madison Bumgarner is living up to the hype of being one of the top prospects in the whole Giants organization. The big lefty has been mowing em down with an 8 and 2 record. What might be more amazing, he has given up a grand total of five earned runs all year. While the numbers have been solid all year, the biggest thing that's changed, confidence.
"The confidence is definiteley getting better" said Madison Bumgarner. "I'm being more relaxed now then at the start of the season for sure. I didn't really know what to expect coming in here with a lot of these guys having played here this past year and some the year before in pro ball. I really didn't have any idea what to expect, but it's definetley getting better"
Jackets look to extend their first place lead against Charleston tonight.
