Aiken, SC--Day two of the Palmetto Amateur and one guy who appears destined to be in contention all weekend is Augusta State product Mitch Krywulycz . What a few weeks he's had.

The Junior from Australia is coming off a win at the Southeastern Amateur Championship and finds himself near the top of the lead after two rounds this week. Krywulycz nearing chipped in for birdie on 16, then just missed another on 17 as he shoots 73 today. His confidence is still sky high.

"I got a lot of good bounces last week and I tried to play with a smile on my face which is very rare for me" said Mitch Krywulycz. "It worked out so I think I'll just keep going with that attitude until something drastic happens and yea, the win was very big for my confidence."

Andrew Landry out of Texas is the second round leader. The tournament wraps up Saturday.
