Augusta, Ga--Georgia coach Mark Richt making his annual trip to the Garden City Tuesday evening speaking to the Bulldog club. Over 600 red and black clad folks were on hand as the prospects of being number one in the nation is a real possiblity.
But you know it won't come easy. With a schedule that features road games against South Carolina, Arizona State, Auburn and Kentucky, plus the normal other S.E.C. foes, getting out of the east is the first priority.
"I think we always have to say the Eastern Division is our number one goal" said Mark Richt "You win that, you play for the S.E.C. You win that you have a shot to play for the national championship."
This year's Bulldog team also features a couple of local guys. AJ Harmon of Jefferson County and Westside's Sanders cummings. Richt loves both guys and sees plenty of immediate potential in Cummings."He'll come in and compete, hopefully get a chance to help us somewhere along the way. If not bang his way into a lot of playing time early on. We'll just have to wait and see."
Bulldog opener Augusta 30th when Georgia Southern comes to Athens followed by Central Michigan and a trip to Columbia.
