NEW YORK (AP) -- There isn't a Triple Crown winner this year. Big
Brown, the winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, failed to
win the Belmont Stakes. The winner was Da' Tara. In their only
meeting, Da' Tara finished 23 and a-half lengths behind Big Brown
in the Florida Derby earlier in the year. Da' Tara was a 38-to-1
longshot to win the Belmont Stakes.\

Big Brown was trying to become the first Triple Crown winner in
30 years. The three-year old was racing with an injured hoof, which
required special attention from a hoof specialist over the last
week.
