UGA football coach meets with President Bush

WASHINGTON---University of Georgia head football coach Mark Richt spent part of his Memorial Day meeting with President Bush.

Richt was one of five coaches who just got back from a week-long visit to military bases in the Middle East. All five coaches met with President Bush.

The trip for the coaches was designed to boost troop morale. They coached a flag football game on one base.

Randy Shannon of the University of Miami; Jack Siedlecki of Yale University; Tommy Tuberville of Auburn University; and Charlie Weis of Notre Dame joined Richt on the trip.

The coaches visited military personnel in Germany, Qatar,
Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, and aboard the USS Nassau on a trip
