Augusta, Ga--Winning a state title is within reach for the westside patriots. A perennial powerhouse in class 2-A and this year's squad is loaded as ever.

The Patriots getting ready for Bleckley County, who's their second round opponent. One big difference from last year to this, experience. Almost the entire roster returns from a team that was bounced early state' a year ago. It's a noticeable difference for everyone around the squad.

"We were just a little inexperienced last year" said Chandler Hall "This year we have that year of experience that we needed last year. We've matured as a team together. We're pretty close as a team and that helps a lot in the game of baseball."

"We played pretty hard last year I think" said coach Gerald Barnes "We just had some close games that we just couldn't get over the hump. This year we've been able to handle that a little bit better."
