ATLANTA (AP) -- Atlanta Braves reliever Peter Moylan will miss
the rest of the season after having Tommy John surgery today in
Birmingham.

Braves spokesman Brad Hainje said Dr. James Andrews performed
the ligament-replacement surgery in Moylan's right elbow after
finding a bone spur had broken off and compromised the ligament.
The Braves reported the surgery was successful.
Moylan opened the season as the set-up man to closer Rafael
Soriano, who also is on the disabled list with a sore elbow.
Moylan was 0-1 with one save and a 1.59 ERA this season.
