DENVER---The Atlanta Braves-Colorado Rockies game scheduled for Thursday afternoon in Denver has been postponed because of snow.

At 11 am local time, KCNC-TV in Denver was reporting 30 degrees with light snow. Winds were over 20 miles an hour and the wind chill was 17 degrees. More light snow is expected throughout the afternoon.

The game has been rescheduled for June 16th, which had been an off day for both teams.

The Braves are now heading to Washington, where a three-game weekend series with the Nationals is scheduled to begin Friday evening. Tim Hudson is the scheduled starter Friday for Atlanta.

The Atlanta Braves and KCNC-TV contributed to this report.
