Augusta, Ga--It was a year ago when Augusta's own Vaughn Taylor was briefly on top of The Masters leaderboard on the weekend before finishing 10th. Today, we start our Masters countdown as we check in on Taylor and his quest for a green jacket.
After Augusta last year, Taylor struggled through the season. But there was a definite reason. It was during the touranment in Atlanta where Taylor's allergies of just about any southern grasses flared up and derailed a lot of his hard work he'd been putting in. Just getting through a round of golf was tough enough, none the less being competitive.
"It was a concern, I was kind of wondering if I was every going to feel normal and feel good again" said Vaughn Taylor. "It had me worried for a little while, I didn't really know what to do. I'm just glad I'm on the road to recovery."
So far this year, Taylor has three top 25 finishes with his best result, a tie for eighth at the Bob Hope.
