AUGUSTA, Ga.---The Mayor's office and the Downtown Baseball Exploratory Committee will have new details Thursday morning on plans for a proposed downtown Augusta stadium.
The announcement comes at 11 a.m. at the Botanical Gardens. Anyone can attend.
Mayor Deke Copenhaver said, "I know that I speak for the entire committee in stating that is is tremendously exicting to have the opportunity to show the public the positive impact a true multi-use entertainment facility...would have on our city."
The Exploratory Committee has been looking at ideas for the past year, and members have made trips to other cities that have downtown stadiums.
