AUGUSTA, Ga.---The Colts are Augusta's latest version of an indoor football team. They say they are ready to play football, but is the James Brown Arena ready for them?

"I'll be glad when they get my field back inside where it belongs," said Bubba Diggs. He is head coach of the new Augusta Colts. The turf for his indoor football team was left sitting outside covering the parking lot of the Bell Auditorium.

"Come on man. It's the only professional team to win a national championship right here in the James Brown Arena. I'm going to tell it how it is. It's disheartening," said Coach Diggs.

It turns out there's no room for turf just yet. The arena has hockey coming up this weekend.

"Right now I'm frustrated, because we came in in good faith, and we felt like we could work with this Authority," said John Sisson, the general manager for the Augusta Colts. But he says he is not throwing in the towel just yet. "I don't want to pick a fight with anybody. I really don't want to be here today, and that is the God honest truth," he said.

There is still a lot to be done before players can even think about scoring a touchdown. Sponsors' logos still need to be painted on the green, and that can only be done inside.

"The field will be taken inside today, and they will proceed with the painting of the logos," said Keith Brown with the Coliseum Authority. Meanwhile, tickets are just now just going on sale, one week before the game.

"My main focus is putting the winning team on the field, and a week before we play tickets are just now going on sale...that's unacceptable to me," said Coach Diggs.

The Colts general manager failed to establish a proper line of credit with the Coliseum Authority. Sisson said, "We're going to just go ahead and play the season in full. Now can we play football?"

Yes and no. The Authority has released the tickets but only for the game next week. A letter of credit is required by noon next Wednesday for all future games.
