Columbus, Ga-- Both the boys and girls from Glenn Hills have advanced to the state semifinals by posting victories Saturday in Columbus, but the same can not be said for the ladies of Hephzibah.
For the Glenn Hills boys, they've run their win streak to 22 straight by beating Washington County 56-44. It's the fourth straight game the Spartans have beaten the Hawks as they'll play in the state semis Friday in Macon.
The Lady Spartans also advance by knocking off Cairo 46-36. The Lady Spartans had things under control throughout as they'll also play next Friday at the Macon Centerplex.
But for Hephzibah, their run is over losing to Kendrick 73-65. The Lady Rebels led by 5 in the second quarter and two at the half. In the third, it was Kendrick running out to an 11 point margin only to see Hephzibah storm back and close to within three. But that would be as close as they get with Kendrick pulling off the eight point win.
