NORTH AUGUSTA, SC---In what is being called an "instant classic", the North Augusta Yellowjackets fought hard but eventually came up two points short, 66-64, against Wren in Tuesday night's Upper State quarterfinal. The 'Jackets were led by senior Brian Narcisse's 22 points in a back and forth affair that came down to the last possesion. After Wren scored the go-ahead bucket with just seconds to play, North Augusta's Darell Curry's shot was blocked at the buzzer.
The Yellowjackets finish the season with a 21-5 record, advancing to the Upper State quarterfinals for the first time since 2000. Wren will now face Spartanburg in the Upper State semifinals Friday night at Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum.
