Augusta, Ga--Ben Madgen averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in a pair of wins for the streaking Augusta State Jaguars while hitting half of his three-point attempts and has been named Peach Belt Conference player of the week. He began with 15 points and eight rebounds in a win at Lander and followed that up with 20 points, three rebounds and seven assists in a home win over Armstrong Atlantic State. The 2006-07 PBC Freshman of the Year also hit six of his 12 three-pointers for the week and shot 58% (14-24) from the field overall. Madgen is currently ranked seventh in the PBC in scoring and continues to lead the PBC in free throw percentage, something the rest of the league seems to be keyed to as he went 1-for-2 from the line last week.
