AUGUSTA---The killer instinct came out in the Lady Jaguars Monday night. Against Columbus State, the team immediately ahead of the Jags in the Peach Belt conference, ASU took the lead with less than five minutes to play and never looked back. Thanks to some timely shooting from Jasmine Godwin and Nicole Mealing, Augusta State raced head for a 66-57 win. Mealing finished with six 3-pointers and 20 points as she and Godwin each hit two outside shots down the stretch to ice the win. The Lady Jags now move into fourth place in the conference standings and return home Wednesday night to face UNC Pembroke.
