BLAKELY, Ga. (AP) -- New Orleans defensive end Charles Grant was
stabbed in the neck and a pregnant woman was shot and killed at an
altercation in southwest Georgia early Sunday, according to
authorities.

was suffering from an injury to his neck.
Grant was transported to Early Memorial Hospital, where he was
treated and later released.
In the incident, 23-year-old Korynda Reed of Blakely was shot.
Reed was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan,
Alabama, where she later died. Early County Sheriff Jimmie R-
Murkerson said that Reed was pregnant.
NO arrests have been made and the case remains under
investigation. Reed's body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation crime lab for an autopsy.
New Orleans Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said Sunday that the
team was aware of the incident.

Louisiana. Grant was a star at the University of Georgia before he
