Augusta State Sweeps Georgia College and State on the Road

Milledgeville,Ga--The Augusta State men had five guys score in double figuers as they knocked off Georgia College and State Saturday night. The Jaguars (14-4, 8-3) were led by big man Garret Siler's 22 points and 10 rebounds. AJ Bowman chipped in with 17 as three others reached double figures in the victory. Jaguars take on Landers Wednesday night.

Augusta State shot a season-high 55.0 percent from the field and picked up a rare win at the Centennial Center Saturday with an 85-62 Peach Belt Conference victory over Georgia College & State.
The victory improved the Lady Jaguars to 13-5 overall and 7-4 in the PBC, while the Lady Bobcats dropped to 10-8 overall and 5-6 in the league.

The win marked the first victory for the Lady Jags at GCSU under head coach Greg Wilson. The Lady Jags were 0-5 in their last five trips to Milledgeville.

Junior Tracey Paschal turned in her second-best scoring effort of the season, pacing five Lady Jags in double figures with 17 points and four steals. Fellow junior Sherika Parker booked her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Senior point guard Deo Ngulela tallied 13 points and five assists, while sophomores
Jasmine Godwin and Nicole Mealing each added 10 points.

Ashley Williams netted a game-high 19 points for GCSU, and Dominique Huffin and Lindsey Barber chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
