Augusta, Ga-- For the second straight night the Augusta Lynx came up short in losing to Pensacola 3-2 in overtime Saturday night. The Lynx scored first in the first thanks to Adrian Viedeman's goal, with the assist from Louis Goulet.
In the second, the Ice Pilots tied it with former Lynx Dan Sullivan lighting the lamp as he beat Bobby Goepfert.
The Ice Pilots took the lead in the third, but Matt Auffrey scored late in the period to force overtime. In the extra session, Joel Stepp's second goal of the year proved to be the game winner.
Saturday's game was played in front of a season high 5500 people.
