OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Dominique Archie scored 20 points,
including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 5.9 seconds left, and South
Carolina upset No. 24 Mississippi 80-77 today.
Devan Downey led the Gamecocks with 25 points, and capped the
win with a pair of technical foul free throws with 1.1 seconds
left. South Carolina has won two straight after knocking off
Georgia earlier in the week.
Dwayne Curtis had 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Rebels.
Chris Warren and Zach Graham had 14 points apiece, and David
Huertas finished with 13 for Ole Miss.
Huertas hit a 3-pointer that gave Ole Miss a 77-75 lead with
1:25 left. South Carolina forced another miss by the Rebels with 39
seconds left, setting up Archie's 3-pointer.
