COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Two newspapers are reporting South Carolina coach Dave Odom plans to retire at the end of this season.
The (Charleston) Post and Courier and The (Columbia) State reported tonight that Odom could make the announcement as early as tomorrow.
The Columbia newspaper says Odom told his players about his decision tonight.
Several messages left by The Associated Press with Odom and members of South Carolina's athletic department were not returned
Odom is in his seventh season with the Gamecocks, who made the NCAA tournament once and won two NIT championships since he took
over in 2001.
Odom also coached Wake Forest and East Carolina and is 401-268 in 22 seasons.
