AIKEN, S.C.— Getting double-figure scoring performances from four players, #8 USC Aiken (12-1, 6-0 PBC) cruised past Georgia Southwestern (4-8, 1-4 PBC) 84-61 with a balanced attack Saturday night in Peach Belt Conference men’s basketball at the USCA Convocation Center. Playing at home for the first time in 24 days after four contests on the road, the Pacers improved on their school-record starts in both PBC play and overall.
In their first home game in 36 days, the 23rd-ranked USC Aiken Lady Pacers (9-3, 3-3 PBC) rebounded from two-straight road losses to calm the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes (1-11, 0-5 PBC) 67-35 on Saturday night at the Convocation Center in women’s Peach Belt Conference basketball action. The Lady Pacers win their fourth-straight at home, notch the 499th victory in the program’s 32-year history, and pick up their ninth league win in their last 11 home tries. Georgia Southwestern dropped its 11th-straight decision.
