Augusta, Ga-- Augusta Lynx head coach Bob Ferguson has a little more to smile about now a day, especially knowing the offensive reinforcements are on the way. Ryan Dingle who was sent back from the A.H.L. late last week and All Star Aaron Slattengren are both expected in uniform Tuesday night.
Slattengren left as the team's leading scorer with 21 goals and 12 assists and had been just short of spectacular this year on the line with Louis Goulet and Jason Laliberte. Dingle, who has spent just 17 games in town was averaging a point a game. Those two returning takes the pressure of everyone, including the defensemen.
"Snce I've been here, its been great," said Nick Toneys. "We've done pretty well, especially now since we've got a couple of guys back from the A.H.L., it's definitely going to help out with our goal production."
"You're going to go through your ups and downs during a season, every team does it," adds defenseman Tim Branham. "You're going to go through times where you score six goals a game and you're going to go through times you don't score. Everybody's got to pull together and play through the adversity and that's what champions are made from."
It's a busy week for Augusta with four games in five nights, all at the James Brown Arena. It all starts with Charlotte Tuesday.
